Eliana carries its lace in two places and leaves the middle bare. Corded flowers cover the bodice, worked over a sheer panel that dips into a V so the pattern appears to rest on skin, and the same lace climbs the straps and closes the back under a long row of covered buttons. Between them the satin is plain and fitted, close through the hip to below the knee. Then the lace returns. Vines break out along the hem and flood the train, which opens in a wide scalloped fan, the heaviest planting in the gown and the part that stays in view longest. Best seen from behind, where the train does most of the talking, and best in a room with a long floor for it to open on.
